The registrations for the Gunki Iron Tournament where launched on Wednesday the 6th of July. Instantly the server crashed due to the sheer volume of requests. The insane number of people trying to simultaneously connect to the Gunki Iron Tournament website was just totally unforeseeable. We knew that this year’s edition was going to be bigger, but this was just beyond expectations!
After an epic 24 hours technical battle to sort the server out and 5 crashes later, at 20:00 on Thursday the registrations could finally take place. In less than 3 minutes over 60 teams had already registered and an hour later over 190 teams had used the Gunki application to create their team. The registrations will be open until 20:00 CET Saturday evening so there’s still time do get a team together for this year’s edition.
Monday evening the list of teams that will take part in the 2016 edition will be posted on the Facebook fan page: www.facebook.com/GunkiIronTournament. Only the teams that have 3 members and that have filled in all the required information will be validated. The 1st 5 teams registered from each county will automatically qualify. For the others, the number selected will be proportional to the total number of teams per country.
20:00, Thursday the 07th of July: Registration launch.
20:00, Saturday the 9th of July: End of registrations.
Evening of Monday the 11th of July: Publication of the teams that will take part.
