The rush of the first days of the trout season is over and the footprints in the mud and sand start to disappear, as the banks of the stream and rivers regain their legendary tranquillity, the trout swim back to their usual hiding places.
The closed season for zander is over and, as the water temperature slowly rises, the fish are starting to feed again, but big fish are not always after big mouthfuls!
Although the cold season has yet to really start, the water temperatures have dropped steadily during the last weeks. Of course the fish have also noticed this and they have become more active and their feeding periods longer.
